JOB PURPOSE

Reporting directly to the Manager, BI & Analytics, the Data Warehouse Specialist CoPilot will be responsible for managing and optimizing our data warehouse infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, scalability, and efficiency. Working closely with our data engineers and analysts, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining CoPilot data warehouse solutions that support our organization’s data-driven initiatives. This position requires a strong understanding of data warehousing principles, experience with relevant technologies and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Warehouse Management:
Manage and maintain our data warehouse infrastructure, including monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing resource utilization. Implement, configure CoPilot features as Mevotech’s subject matter expert. Post set-up support of Microsoft 365 Copilot required

Data Modeling:
Design and implement efficient data models to support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence needs.

ETL Development:
Develop and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse.

Performance Optimization:
Identify opportunities to optimize data warehouse performance, such as query tuning, indexing strategies, and data partitioning.

Data Governance:
Ensure data quality, integrity, and security within the data warehouse environment, adhering to best practices and compliance requirements.

Collaboration:
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions that meet business objectives.

Documentation: Document data warehouse architecture, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain system documentation.

Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data warehousing, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree preferred or equivalent working experience
  • Proven experience in data warehouse design, development, and implementation, preferably in a cloud-based environment.
  • Proven experience working with Microsoft 365 Copilot features and requirements.
  • Provide experience providing recommendations & guidance on how to optimize Microsoft 365 environment
  • Ability to implement, configure and support the use of CoPilot within the organization.
  • Proficiency in database technologies such as SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
  • Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or SSIS.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, dimensional modeling techniques, and data warehousing best practices.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence and analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
  • Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka is desirable but not required.
